USDA-accredited veterinarians can electronically issue health certificates and use VEHCS (Veterinary Export Health Certification System) to submit them to USDA for endorsement.

USDA must ink-sign and emboss the health certificate.

Effective March 16, 2022, the National Parks Board/Animal & Veterinary Service (NParks/AVS) of the Republic of Singapore has imposed temporary restrictions on the importation of poultry and hatching eggs from the 10 km radius restricted areas around the affected premises. 

NOTE: In addition to the protocol requirements above, all health certificates for the export of poultry must include the following two statements: 

  1. “Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) is a notifiable disease in the United States (USA)”; AND
  2. “The poultry for export are captive-bred and do not originate from areas within the 10 km radius of restricted area around a highly pathogenic influenza affected farm.”

If your species is not listed, the requirements for that species are not known. Exporters who want to ship livestock or germplasm whose requirements are not listed above should have the importer or buyer in the destination country apply for an import permit at the appropriate ministry. This import permit will most likely outline the specific requirements.
