The information, requirements, and websites posted below are the most current known to APHIS.
An import permit is required send a pet to the British Virgin Islands. The import permit will outline the specific requirements your pet must meet to travel to the British Virgin Islands. An APHIS-endorsed health certificate IS required PRIOR to applying for an import permit. A rabies titer IS REQUIRED for the import permit application. These requirements (e.g., vaccinations, tests, and treatments) must be recorded on the export health certificate
Agricultural Officers will conduct animal quarantine duties for the British Virgin Islands Department of Agriculture, which has an office at the Terrance B. Lettsome Airport. For pets arriving by sea, the Department requires 24 hour notice of arrival to ensure that appropriate arrangements can be made for inspection of relevant papers.
