Effective March 16, 2022, the National Parks Board/Animal & Veterinary Service (NParks/AVS) of the Republic of Singapore has imposed temporary restrictions on the importation of poultry and hatching eggs from the 10 km radius restricted areas around the affected premises.

NOTE: In addition to the protocol requirements above, all health certificates for the export of poultry must include the following two statements:
- “Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) is a notifiable disease in the United States (USA)”; AND
- “The poultry for export are captive-bred and do not originate from areas within the 10 km radius of restricted area around a highly pathogenic influenza affected farm.”

Laboratory and research animals for the export of from the United States to Singapore must originate from a facility listed as accredited by AVS-Singapore: AVS accredited exporters of laboratory animals

Zoo animals for the export of from the United States to Singapore must originate from either an establishment accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquarium (AZA) or from another AVS-Singapore approved source.
NOTE: Imported zoo animals will be subject to mandatory post-arrival quarantine of at least 30 days in Singapore.

Taking a Pet to Another Country?
If your species is not listed, the requirements for that species are not known. Exporters who want to ship livestock or germplasm whose requirements are not listed above should have the importer or buyer in the destination country apply for an import permit at the appropriate ministry. This import permit will most likely outline the specific requirements.
