Notice of Availability: Predecisional Environmental Assessment—Bird Damage Management in Hawaiʻi

Notice of Availability—Hawaiʻi: Wildlife Services, a program within the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS-WS), has prepared a Predecisional Environmental Assessment (EA) entitled “Bird Damage Management in Hawaiʻi.” The EA analyzes the potential environmental impacts of alternatives for APHIS-WS involvement in bird damage management in Hawaiʻi. The EA is available for public review and comment before issuing a decision. The proposed action is to implement an integrated approach using a variety of methods to reduce bird damage to human health and safety, agricultural resources, property, and natural resources. APHIS-WS is requesting that the public review and provide their comments on the EA by July 17, 2025.

All comments received, including the names and addresses of those who comment, will be part of the public record and will be released for public review as required and allowed by law. Comments, information, and analyses provided should be as specific as possible and include an explanation of why the information is important to the analysis.
