Notice of Availability – Hawaii Bird Damage Management

Notice of Availability – Hawaiʻi: Wildlife Services, a program within the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS-WS), has issued a Decision and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the final Environmental Assessment (EA) entitled “Bird Damage Management in Hawaiʻi”.  The EA analyzes the potential environmental impacts of alternatives for APHIS-WS involvement in bird damage management in Hawaiʻi.  The proposed action is to implement an integrated approach using a variety of methods to reduce bird damage to human health and safety, agricultural resources, property, and natural resourcesAPHIS-WS signed the Decision and FONSI on September 17, 2025, selecting the proposed action.
