Animal By-Products for Use in Pet Food

Facilities must be approved by APHIS for the export of animal byproducts intended for the manufacture of pet food to the EU with the Regulation (EU) 142/2011 “Chapter 3(F) Health Certificate for animal by-products for the manufacture of petfood, intended for dispatch to or for transit through the European Union” to export animal byproducts for use in pet food to Turkey. Please contact your Veterinary Services service center for details on how to request the required approval.

The "Veterinary Health Certificate For Exportation Of Animal By Products(3) Intended For Manufacture Of Petfood To The Republic Of Turkey” can only be endorsed for animal byproducts for use in pet food from facilities with the above referenced approval. 

The “Veterinary Health Certificate For Exportation Of Animal By Products( 3) Intended For Manufacture Of Petfood To The Republic Of Turkey” is not endorsable at this time for pet food by-products derived from the carcasses of poultry from HPAI Banned Areas or ND Banned Areas. It also is not endorsable for any poultry byproducts from areas under Turkish Avian Influenza Bans (285.43 KB).

The “Veterinary Health Certificate For Exportation Of Animal By Products(3) Intended For Manufacture Of Petfood To The Republic Of Turkey” should be prepared in a manner consistent with the Guidelines for Preparation of Regulation (EU) 142/2011 Export Certificates; and “lined out” consistent with the pertinent entry under the European Union on the following page: Pet Food Ingredient: Unprocessed Animal By-Products (224.13 KB) - Chapter 3(F).

Canned Pet Food

Facilities must be approved by APHIS for the export of the canned pet food to the EU with the Regulation (EU) 142/2011 “Chapter 3(A) Health Certificate for canned pet food intended for dispatch to or for transit through the European Union” to export canned pet food to Turkey.  Please contact your Veterinary Services service center for details on how to request the required approval.

The “VETERINARY HEALTH CERTIFICATE FOR EXPORTATION OF CANNED PETFOOD TO THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE” can only be endorsed for pet food from facilities with the above referenced approval. 

The “VETERINARY HEALTH CERTIFICATE FOR EXPORTATION OF CANNED PETFOOD TO THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE” should be prepared in a manner consistent with the Guidelines for Preparation of Regulation (EU) 142/2011 Export Certificates; and “lined out” consistent with the pertinent entry under the European Union Pet Food (Canned) - Chapter 3(A).

Veterinary Health Certificate for Exportation of Canned Pet Food to the Republic of Türkiye– May 2022

Dog Chews

Facilities must be approved by APHIS for the export of the dog chews to the EU with the Regulation (EU) 142/2011 “Chapter 3(C) Health Certificate for dogchews intended for dispatch to or for transit through the European Union” to export dog chews to Turkey.  Please contact your Veterinary Services service center for details on how to request the required approval.

The “VETERINARY HEALTH CERTIFICATE FOR EXPORTATION OF DOGCHEWS TO THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE ” can only be endorsed for dog chews from facilities with the above referenced approval. 

The “VETERINARY HEALTH CERTIFICATE FOR EXPORTATION OF DOGCHEWS TO THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE ” should be prepared in a manner consistent with the Guidelines for Preparation of Regulation (EU) 142/2011 Export Certificates; and “lined out” consistent with the pertinent entry under the European Union on the following page:  Pet Food (Chews) - Chapter 3(C).

Processed Pet Food Other than Canned

Facilities must be approved by APHIS for these products to the EU with the Regulation (EU) 142/2011 “Chapter 3(B) Health Certificate for processed petfood other than canned petfood, intended for dispatch to or for transit through the European Union”* to export these products to Turkey.   Please contact your Veterinary Services service center for details on how to request the required approval.

The “VETERINARY HEALTH CERTIFICATE FOR EXPORTATION OF PROCESSED PETFOOD OTHER THAN CANNED PETFOOD TO THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE ” can only be endorsed for products from facilities with the above referenced approval. 

The “VETERINARY HEALTH CERTIFICATE FOR EXPORTATION OF PROCESSED PETFOOD OTHER THAN CANNED PETFOOD TO THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE ” should be prepared in a manner consistent with the Guidelines for Preparation of Regulation (EU) 142/2011 Export Certificates; and “lined out”* consistent with the pertinent entry under the European Union Pet Food (Processed Pet Food Other than Canned) - Chapter 3(B).
