Export Live Animals to Turks and Caicos Islands
Summary of Requirements
Note: Turks and Caicos Islands importers / exporters should be reminded that import permits are needed.
Importers are being reminded that all imports of live animals, animal products, and animal by-products to be imported into the Turks and Caicos Islands require an import permit.
All imports must come to an official port of entry, and all import conditions attached to a particular commodity must be satisfied before landing clearance is given.
It is the importer’s responsibility to verify the accuracy and completeness of all import conditions before they attempt to import commodities into the Islands. Commodities without import permits will be returned to the country of origin.
APHIS Registered Aquaculture Export Facility approval is required for aquatic animals.
- Live Aquatic - Health Certificate (141.88 KB) - July 2015
If your species is not listed, the requirements for that species are not known. Exporters who want to ship livestock or germplasm whose requirements are not listed above should have the importer or buyer in the destination country apply for an import permit at the appropriate ministry. This import permit will most likely outline the specific requirements.
