Export Live Animals to Ivory Coast

The Director of Veterinary Services for Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast) has confirmed acceptance of the VS Form 17-6, “Certificate for Poultry or Hatching Eggs for Export” for use in trade of U.S. origin poultry, hatching eggs and day-old chicks, with the addition of the following two bilingual statements:
1.) The birds from which the poultry are derived were not raised or processed within a 10 km radius of an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) / Les volailles de proviennent d’oiseaux qui n’ont pas été élevés ou traités dans un rayon de 10 km de foyer d’influenza aviaire hautement pathogène (IAHP).
2.) An import permit issued by the Veterinary Services of Côte D’Ivoire is required. / Un permis d’importation délivré par la Direction des Services Vétérinaires de Côte d’Ivoire est requis.

If your species is not listed, the requirements for that species are not known. Exporters who want to ship livestock or germplasm whose requirements are not listed above should have the importer or buyer in the destination country apply for an import permit at the appropriate ministry. This import permit will most likely outline the specific requirements.
