Export Live Animals to Iraq
Summary of Requirements
Note: The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Iraq imposes trade restrictions on U.S. origin poultry, hatching eggs, and day-old chicks originating from states that are affected with HPAI, and for 28 days after final cleaning and disinfection (C&D) post stamping out is completed in that state (i.e. after the disinfection of the last affected establishment).
If your species is not listed, the requirements for that species are not known. Exporters who want to ship livestock or germplasm whose requirements are not listed above should have the importer or buyer in the destination country apply for an import permit at the appropriate ministry. This import permit will most likely outline the specific requirements.
