2024 Benefits Open Season

The 2024 Federal Benefits Open Season is November 11, 2024, through December 9, 2024. During open season, you can enroll or reenroll in FSAFEDS. You can also enroll, change, or cancel your health, dental, or vision coverage.

The Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program 

Some health plans have dropped out of the FEHB program for 2024. If you are currently enrolled in a plan that will not be participating next year, you must enroll in a different plan. If you don’t enroll in another plan, you will be enrolled automatically in the GEHA Indemnity Benefit Plan – Elevate Option, the lowest-cost nationwide plan option for 2024 as determined by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).

If you are enrolling in a new plan, be sure to review the 2025 premiums before you make your election to fully understand the cost and coverage.

Federal Employee Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP)

Employees have 12 dental and 5 vision plan options to choose from in 2024. You can view the plans on the BENEFEDS websiteBe sure to review the 2025 premiums before you make your election to fully understand the cost and coverage.

Federal Flexible Spending Account Program (FSAFEDS)

You can rollover up to $640 from your 2024 flexible spending account to your 2025 account. This is a $30 increase from the 2024 tax year. To use those funds, you must re-enroll.

Submitting an Election Form

Employees should submit their health benefit elections through the National Finance Center’s (NFC) Employee Personal Page (My EPP). Employees who choose not to use My EPP may send their election form to this email address.
