Note: An Uzbekistan import permit is required prior to sending shipments of U.S. origin bovine semen and embryos.

Temporary Restrictions:
- Effective June 29, 2020, temporary restrictions have been imposed on U.S. origin live poultry, day-old chicks and hatching eggs from the state of South Carolina.
- Effective February 3, 2023, the Chief State Veterinary Inspector of the Republic of Uzbekistan has imposed temporary restrictions on the import of hatched chicken eggs from all foreign countries, including the United States (except for international transit) except for Brazil, Estonia, Kazakhstan and Iran.
- Effective December 1, 2023, temporary restrictions have been imposed on the import of birds, poultry, hatching eggs, and day-old chicks from the states of Missouri, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Montana, due to HPAI.

If your species is not listed, the requirements for that species are not known. Exporters who want to ship livestock or germplasm whose requirements are not listed above should have the importer or buyer in the destination country apply for an import permit at the appropriate ministry. This import permit will most likely outline the specific requirements.
