Summary of Requirements

Paraguay requires that any exportation of animals, embryos, semen, and poultry chicks and hatching eggs must be accompanied by a health certificate legalized by a Paraguayan consulate in the United States.  The exporter must consult with the consulate in case of any additional requirement. Information about the Paraguayan consulates can be found at: https://py.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/paraguayan-embassy-consulates/

If your species is not listed, the requirements for that species are not known. Exporters who want to ship livestock or germplasm whose requirements are not listed above should have the importer or buyer in the destination country apply for an import permit at the appropriate ministry. This import permit will most likely outline the specific requirements.
