Since the last update to the PCN regulated area on June 13, 2025, APHIS amended the pale cyst nematode (PCN) regulated area in Bingham County, Idaho as follows:
- Approximately 50.10 acres from a 56.28-acre PCN-associated field (Bingham County, Idaho – T01N, R37E, section 22) have been released from regulation. APHIS removed these acres because this land no longer meets the definition of an ‘associated field’ in accordance with 7 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) §301.86-3(c)(2). In addition, this parcel was converted to non-agricultural use and is deregulated in accordance with 7 CFR §301.86- 3(d)(4).
With this change, the total number of PCN-regulated fields is 56, of which 31 are infested fields and 25 are associated fields. The current PCN-regulated area in Idaho is 6265.64 acres, of which 3,420.10 acres are infested fields and 2,845.53 acres are associated fields. The infested fields are within an 8.5-mile radius that spans a portion of northern Bingham County and southern Bonneville County.
