Subchapter 1010 Organizational Changes Introduction

Purpose	This Desk Guide provides guidance on the USDA process that Marketing and Regulatory Programs follow when making organizational changes that need approval of the Under Secretary or Assistant Secretary for Administration.
Related Regulations	The Departmental regulation covering organizational planning, review, and approval is undergoing review. While this guidance is being updated, statutory requirements must still be met. It is important to contact the HRD Policy Branch to ensure coordination with the Department on any proposed organizational change to determine the appropriate approvals processes prior to implementation.
