Notice of Availability: FONSI/Decision for Coyote and Feral Dog Damage Management in Pennsylvania

NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY–PENNSYLVANIA: Wildlife Services (WS), a program within the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), has completed a Decision and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Environmental Assessment (EA) Supplement, “Integrated Wildlife Damage Management of Coyotes and Feral Dogs in Pennsylvania” which evaluated potential impacts on the quality of the human environment from the implementation of three alternatives to manage damage caused by coyotes and feral dogs. After reviewing the information in the EA and EA Supplement, WS completed the Decision/FONSI on March 7th, 2025, selecting implementation of the proposed action alternative which is an integrated approach using a variety of methods to reduce damage to agriculture, property, natural resources, and human health & safety caused by coyotes and feral dogs in Pennsylvania. WS concluded that implementation of this alternative would not have a significant impact on the quality of the human environment based on the analyses in the EA and the EA Supplement.
