Export Live Animals to Montenegro
Summary of Requirements
Listed Species
The following certificate must be used for “listed” aquatic animal species only. Review the instructions posted below regarding the listed species, pathogens of concern, and testing information.
APHIS Registered Aquaculture Export Facility approval is required, when exporting listed species (except for research or wild-caught, see information below).
- Aquatic Animals – Listed Species (1.51 MB) – Health Certificate – December 2023
- Aquatic Animals – Listed Species (297.05 KB) – Instructions – December 2023
For the export of listed species which are either intended for research purposes or wild-caught, APHIS Registered Aquaculture Export Facility is not required, and the following certificates should be used respectively.
- Aquatic Animals – Listed Species, Research (1.46 MB) – Health Certificate – December 2023
- Aquatic Animals – Listed Species, Wild-caught (1.46 MB)– Health Certificate – December 2023
Unlisted Species
For aquatic animal species that are NOT listed (i.e., “unlisted species”), then the following certificate must be used for any end use. Review the instructions above to determine if a species is considered “listed” by Montenegro.
- Aquatic Animals – Unlisted Species (1.47 MB) – Health Certificate – December 2023
If your species is not listed, the requirements for that species are not known. Exporters who want to ship livestock or germplasm whose requirements are not listed above should have the importer or buyer in the destination country apply for an import permit at the appropriate ministry. This import permit will most likely outline the specific requirements.
