PCN Quarantine Information January 28, 2021

The following changes have been made to the pale cyst nematode (PCN) regulated area since the January 10, 2020 publication:

Approximately 240 acres of associated fields have been released from regulation under the PCN Federal Rule (7 CFR §301.86). The locations of the fields, deregulated after completing a release protocol comprised of a sequence of surveys with negative laboratory results for PCN, and in accordance with 7 CFR §301.86, subpart 3(d)(2) Removal of fields from quarantine – Associated fields, are as follows:

  • Bonneville County, Idaho – T01N, R37E, section 8;
  • T01N R37E sections 18 and 19.

In accordance with the PCN Federal Rule, 7 CFR §301.86, subpart 3(c)(2), Criteria for designation of fields as infested fields and associated fields - Associated fields, 444 acres were added to the regulated area due to their associations with an infested field. The locations of the fields are as follows:

  • Bingham County, Idaho - T01N, R37E, sections 25 and 35;
  • T01N R37E, sections 2, 5, and 12;
  • T02S R36E, section 9.

With these changes, the current regulated area is 7,354 acres, of which 3,446 acres are infested fields.
