NAHMS Sheep Studies

The National Animal Health Monitoring System (NAHMS), a nonregulatory unit of USDA-APHIS-VS, is developing its Sheep 2024 study. NAHMS recently conducted a brief on-line survey and greatly appreciates the input from those who completed the survey. NAHMS will use survey results to help develop the information objectives that will shape the NAHMS study.

NAHMS also conducted studies on sheep production and health in 2011, 2001, and 1996, and on scrapie ovine slaughter surveillance in 2001-2003. Please use the link below to access all NAHMS publications and study materials, and to access a summary of the Sheep 2024 needs assessment survey.
