Chile's Animal Health Department (Departmento de Protección Pecuaria, Servicio Agrícola y Ganadero, Ministerio de Agricultura) in their resolution 6539/2011 requires that certification statements in all animal health certificates be in Spanish as well as the national language of the certifying country.
Dairy for human consumption produced in the United States should be certified by USDA Agricultural Marketing Service. AMS has an approved bilingual certificate for Chile.
The statement “This is to certify that rinderpest, foot-and-mouth disease, classical swine fever, swine vesicular disease, African swine fever, and contagious bovine pleuropneumonia do not exist in the United States of America” should not be added to the following certificates:
- Planktonic Species Intended for Use in Animal Feeding
- Poultry Feathers
- Poultry Meals (Meat-and-Bone and Feather) and Poultry Digests for Use in Animal Feeding

If you have any questions or concerns about the procedures and requirements for exporting animal products, or to obtain a zoosanitary certificate for an animal product, contact the APHIS Veterinary Services office covering the area from which the product will be exported, the area in which your office is located, or the area in which the product is manufactured.
