This course will provide State and Federal veterinary medical officers (VMOs) and animal health technicians (AHTs) with the skills to perform basic regulatory veterinary field skills, particularly those pertaining to control, eradication, and surveillance programs. The classroom portion of the course will include scenarios, live animal labs, and necropsy labs.

Target Audience

State and Federal VMOs who are newly hired or require training in one or more of the basic skills covered by the course. Priority will be given to veterinarians; however, if room is available, the course is open to State and Federal AHTs whose supervisors feel that they could benefit from the training.
