PCN Regulated Field Description November 13, 2024
Since the last update to the PCN area on August 12, 2024, APHIS amended the number of pale cyst nematode (PCN) regulated fields in Bonneville County, Idaho.
APHIS made this change because the fields completed a release protocol for PCN-associated fields that is comprised of a sequence of surveys with negative laboratory results for PCN, in accordance with 7 CFR §301.86-3(d)(2).
With this change, the current number of PCN-regulated fields in Idaho is 57 with a total of 6,452.17 acres. Of the total acreage, 3,538 acres are infested fields, and 2,914.17 acres are associated fields. The infested fields are in an 8.5-mile radius that spans a portion of northern Bingham County and southern Bonneville County.
