PCN Regulated Field Description August 12, 2024

Last Modified: August 13, 2024

Since the last update to the PCN area on November 16, 2023, APHIS amended the number of pale cyst nematode (PCN) regulated fields in Bingham County, Idaho. APHIS made this change because two adjacent fields, formerly farmed separately, are now farmed as one field unit. The new acreage of the combined field is 298.8 acres; field one (114.7 acres) plus field two (184.1 acres).

With this change, the current number of PCN-regulated fields in Idaho is 58 with a total of 6,495 acres. Of the total acreage, 3,538 acres are infested fields, and 2,957 acres are associated fields. The infested fields are in an 8.5-mile radius that spans a portion of northern Bingham County and southern Bonneville County.
