Message to Stakeholders Regarding Plant Protection and Quarantine Manuals Redesign

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service’s (APHIS) Information Services and Manuals Unit (ISMU) is updating and modernizing 27 Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) manuals to improve our users’ experience. The new manual upgrades include streamlined content, standard navigation, and equal access to information and data for people with disabilities (508 compliance). 

On October 1, 2024, APHIS posted 13 redesigned manuals (and their associated supplemental documents) to the PPQ Manuals web page and the APHIS-CBP Intranet site. The ISMU staff completed the redesign on the remaining 14 manuals, and they will be posted on January 8^th.
