Export of Dairy Products for Human Consumption to Turks and Caicos Islands
The government of the Turks and Caicos Islands Animal Health Services Division has confirmed that dairy products (bovine, ovine and caprine species) for human consumption produced in the United States should be certified by the USDA Agricultural Marketing Service, Dairy Programs. Turks and Caicos Islands has accepted the USDA AMS sanitary certificate as the appropriate document for these products. Please email Dairyexportsquestions@ams.usda.gov for additional information.
Imported products for re-export to Turks and Caicos Islands
Dairy products such as milk, yogurt, cheese, and milk powder that have been imported from another country and have not been processed in the United States may be certified for export to the Turks and Caicos Islands. The exporter must provide a governmentissued veterinary certificate from the originating country that gives appropriate statements about the origin of imported materials or how materials were processed in the originating country. The Veterinary Services export certificate that accompanies the shipment shall indicate that the product was legally imported and was not processed in the U.S. and shall appropriately reference the export certificate of the country of origin (e.g., certificate number).
