DUTIES AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS - In accordance with the provisions of a training plan, receives intensive on-the-job and/or formal training and performs, under close supervision, duties in preparation for promotion to the target position. The incumbent will assist in performing narrow scope assignments in order to apply management analysis principles, theories and techniques used in the Program activities. All applicants must meet time-in-grade requirements within 1 month of the closing date of this announcement, and if applicable, any minimum educational requirements specified in the OPM Qualification Standards prescribed for that series. For CTAP, well-qualified means that the applicant meets the qualification standard and eligibility requirements for the position, meets minimum educational and experience requirements, meets all selective factors where applicable, and is able to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position upon entry. EVALUATION CRITERIA- Applicants will be rated against these factors in terms of their background (experience, training, awards, suggestions, performance rating, etc.). To ensure adequate consideration under the rating procedures, applicants are encouraged to include the addendum to their application which SPECIFICALLY addresses their experience and training as it relates to each of the following quality ranking factors:
CTAP APPLICANTS - The CTAP was enacted to place qualified surplus or displaced individuals into existing vacant positions. Under CTAP you must meet the minimum qualification criteria and be determined as “well qualified” under the appropriate rating criteria. Knowledge of Agency programs and procedures in order to provide managers with advice and guidance. Knowledge of automated data processing as it relates to word processing systems and microcomputers. Ability to plan, coordinate, and organize work to support administrative and program services functions. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in order to provide information to a variety of groups or individuals on the operations and activities of an organization. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with representatives within and outside the program area.
A resume, OF-612, SF-171, or other written format will be accepted. The announcement number must be clearly indicated on the application.
