AgDiscovery: How Do I Apply?

Applications acceptance for AgDiscovery 2024 has closed.

The application submission deadline is April 5, 2024, at midnight Eastern Standard Time. The university will notify you if you are selected to participate. Non-selected applicants will receive a letter in the mail.

You will need all the forms listed below in order to complete your application. Click on the links to the forms below and once you have completed them, you will need to upload and submit them with your online application:

Entitled “Why I Want to Attend the AgDiscovery Program and What I Want to Learn." Include your name, address and email address on the first page of the essay. Include information about your interests and hobbies, any agricultural science-related courses you have taken, and any extracurricular or volunteer activities you have participated in related to agriculture, plant, animal, biological, or veterinary science.

From people not related to you who know you well. At least one recommendation must come from a teacher, counselor, or school administrator.

Important Information About AgDiscovery Applications

Applicants can apply to only one AgDiscovery program each year. The programs are categorized in four areas of discipline: agribusiness, plant, animal, and combination. Applicants cannot repeat participation within the same discipline. For example, if a student has previously attended a program in the animal discipline, the student is only eligible to participate in one of the three remaining disciplines (agribusiness, plant, or combination).
