European Union - Eggs and Egg Products FOR Human Consumption

APHIS does not endorse certificates for eggs or egg products for human consumption exported to or transiting the EU. The pertinent certifying agencies for these products exported to or transiting the EU are noted below. Exporters should contact these agencies for more information. 

Table (shell) eggs: 

Table (shell) eggs are not currently eligible for export to the European Union from the United States. The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service is the lead agency for the certification of table (shell) eggs for export and would be the certifying authority if the market is opened. 

• Class B Shell eggs for breaking: The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service 
• Egg products bearing the FSIS mark of inspection: The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service 
• Egg products not bearing the FSIS mark of inspection: The U.S. Food and Drug Administration
