Animal Products to Slovenia

Slovenia became a member of the European Union (EU) on May 1, 2004. The EU has harmonized import requirements for certain animal origin product. For harmonized certificates, please refer to the general information file for the European Union. Exporters must have their importers confirm with the appropriate Ministry of Animal Health that Slovenia will accept product on the appropriate EU certificate prior to shipment.

Slovenia will generally accept certificates (that are harmonized at the European Union level) issued in English.  Certificates that are not harmonized at the European Union level should be in both English and Slovenian.
