Additional Information on the 1890 Scholars Program

The USDA/1890 National Scholars Program offers scholarships to U.S. Citizens who are seeking a bachelor's degree in agriculture or a related science at one of the 1890 Land Grant Institutions. The purpose of the National Scholars Program is to strengthen the long-term partnership between the Department of Agriculture and the 1890 Institutions; increase the number of students studying agriculture, food and nutrition, and natural resource sciences; and offer career opportunities at USDA.
