ePermits Information

ePermits is being replaced by APHIS’ new, online permitting system, APHIS eFile ( As of September 30, 2022, APHIS will no longer accept new permit applications or issue renewals through ePermits. All active permits issued through ePermits will remain valid, and eligible for amendment, until permit expiration. No ePermits data will be moved into APHIS eFile. You will need to submit a new application in APHIS eFile when any of your ePermits permits expire. Login to ePermits

The USDA eAuthentication system supports different levels of eAuthentication. ePermits requires that users have a “Verified Identity” authentication account in order to submit a permit application. Identity verification can be done online if you are able to answer the verification questions. If you unable or unwilling to answers the online questions, you may visit a USDA Service Center in-person to have your identity verified.
