NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY – Washington: Wildlife Services (WS), a program within the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, has issued a Decision and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Environmental Assessment (EA) entitled “Mammal Damage Management in Washington.” The EA analyzed the potential environmental impacts of alternatives for WS-Washington’s involvement in mammal damage management in Washington. Based on the analyses contained in the final EA and the associated Decision/FONSI, WS-Washington concluded that implementation of the proposed action alternative (Alternative 1) would not have a significant impact on the quality of the human environment. The proposed action alternative evaluated an integrated methods approach to reduce damage when WS receives a request for assistance. WS signed the Decision and FONSI on April 7, 2021, selecting the proposed action alternative.
