NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY – New Mexico: Wildlife Services (WS), a program within the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, has issued a Decision and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Final Environmental Assessment (EA) entitled “Feral Swine Damage Management in New Mexico”.  The EA analyzed the potential environmental impacts of alternatives for WS-New Mexico’s involvement in feral swine damage management in New Mexico.  Based on the analyses contained in the final EA and the associated Decision/FONSI, WS-New Mexico concluded that implementation of the proposed action alternative (Alternative 1) would not have a significant impact upon the quality of the human environment.  The proposed action alternative evaluated an integrated methods approach to reduce damage when WS receives a request for assistance.  WS signed the Decision and FONSI on August 23, 2021 selecting the proposed action alternative.
