NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY – United States: Wildlife Services (WS), a program within the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) has prepared a supplement to the Environmental Assessment (EA) entitled:  “Oral Vaccination to Control Specific Rabies Virus Variants with Human Adenovirus Type 5 Vector in Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia”.  The EA analyzes the potential environmental impacts of the alternatives for WS’ involvement in an oral rabies vaccination (ORV) program in the above mentioned states and portions of the U.S. Forest Service National Forest System lands.  The program’s primary goals are to stop the spread of specific rabies virus variants. This supplement to the EA examines the potential impacts of the WS program as they relate to expanding the geographic range of the field trial zone in Pennsylvania.
