NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY – Arizona: Wildlife Services (WS), a program within the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, has issued a Decision and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Environmental Assessment (EA) entitled “Final Environmental Assessment: Bird Damage Management in Arizona, May 2022.” The EA analyzed the potential environmental impacts of alternatives for WS-Arizona’s involvement in bird damage management in Arizona. Based on the analyses contained in the Final EA and the associated Decision/FONSI, WS-Arizona concluded that implementation of the proposed action alternative (Alternative 1) would not have a significant impact on the quality of the human environment. The proposed action is to implement an integrated approach using a variety of methods to reduce bird damage to property, agricultural resources, human health and safety, and natural resources. WS signed the Decision/FONSI on May 9, 2022, selecting the proposed action alternative.
