NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY – Kansas: Wildlife Services (WS), a program within the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, has issued a Decision and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for the Final Environmental Assessment (EA) entitled “Mammal Damage Management in the State of Kansas”. The EA analyzed the potential environmental impacts of alternatives for WS-Kansas’s involvement in mammal damage management in Kansas. Based on the analyses contained in the final EA and the associated Decision/FONSI, WS-Kansas concluded that implementation of the proposed action alternative (Alternative 1) would not have a significant impact upon the quality of the human environment. The proposed action is to implement an integrated approach using a variety of methods to reduce mammal damage to human health and safety, agricultural resources, property, and natural resources. WS signed the Decision and FONSI on September 28, 2021 selecting the proposed action alternative.
