NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY – Arkansas:  Wildlife Services (WS), a program within the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), has issued a Decision and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for a final Environmental Assessment (EA) titled “Managing Damage and Threats of Damage Caused by Birds in the State of Arkansas.”  The EA analyzed potential environmental effects of alternative strategies to reduce bird damage to agricultural resources, natural resources, property, and human health and safety in Arkansas.  The proposed action is an integrated approach using a variety of methods.  Based on the analyses contained in the EA and the associated Decision and FONSI, WS concluded that implementation of the proposed action (Alternative 1) would not have a significant impact upon the quality of the human environment.  WS signed the Decision and FONSI on May 20, 2022, selecting the proposed action alternative.
