Plant Pest and Disease Management and Disaster Prevention Program have strengthened the ability to protect U.S. agriculture and natural resources from foreign plant pest threats in areas such as pest survey, identification, inspection, mitigation, risk analysis, and public education and outreach.

FY17 Information

APHIS has stopped receiving stakeholder project suggestion for fiscal year (FY) 2017 Plant Pest and Disease Management and Disaster Prevention Programs (PPDMDPP) under the 2014 Farm Bill Section 10007. The open period for receiving these project suggestions closed on August 19, 2016, after a six week opportunity for stakeholders to submit suggestions. All suggestions received will be reviewed and considered, based on their merit, for potential Section 10007 funding. APHIS anticipates publishing the final FY 2017 Section 10007 Spending Plan for PPDMDPP in January 2017, or sooner, if possible.
