Your AgLearn Update

for All USDA

The new AgLearn system is up and running as of September 17, 2018. Log in to the new system at, then select the Login button. Once selected, you will use your eAuthentication information, same as before, to gain access to AgLearn.

The 2019 Individual Development Plan (IDP) was assigned to all federal employees (excluding Senior Executives) on October 01, 2018. You can access your IDP by selecting the Learning Plans link in your Dashboard. Since this will be the first time many of you access the new AgLearn, we have provided the following support options.

  1. Find a step-by-step job aid in Ask AgLearn Now
  2. You can also access a quick training course in AgLearn.
  3. Or if you prefer videos, you can view  How to create an IDP and How to submit an IDP.

For Senior Executives, AgLearn is currently developing the Executive Development Plan. (Date TBD)

For your agency’s policy on IDP contact your supervisor or agency point of contact.

For more information on the Individual Development Plan visit

For access to all quick training courses visit AgLearn Computer Based Training Options in AgLearn’s Site Announcements.

for Supervisors

As a supervisor, you will begin receiving notifications from your subordinates to approve their IDPs. This process is done in a new AgLearn system, so we are providing this quick training guide in AgLearn to ensure you are prepared to:

  1. Navigate to your team members IDP
  2. Review, add, or update an IDP
  3. Approve or decline the IDP
  4. Address changes made after approval
