Non-Competitive Definition

Non-competitive current employees:

To be considered a non-competitive applicant, the position advertised:

  • must have no promotion potential beyond that of your current position; or
  • must be at no higher grade than you have previously held on a permanent basis under a career or career-conditional appointment and from which you were not demoted or separated because of deficiencies in performance or "for cause" reasons.
