Scotts' Glyphosate-Tolerant Creeping Bentgrass: Memoranda of Understanding and Agreement

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) is making available a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between APHIS and The Scotts Company LLC (Scotts). The MOA was agreed upon to establish commitments pertaining to Scotts management of genetically engineered (GE) glyphosate tolerant creeping bentgrass (GTCB). The MOA describes the terms of this agreement.

As outlined in the MOU, Scotts withdrew its GTCB petition and resubmitted a revised GTCB petition that more accurately documents the current science related to GTCB and its behavior in the environment. APHIS made this petition available on January 8, 2016, for a 60-day public comment period. To view supporting documents and submit public comments through March 8, 2016, please go to our online public comment portal:  http://www.regulations.gov/#!docketDetail.
