Great Britain - Untreated Animal Byproducts for the production of gelatin and/or collagen for human consumption [GBHC111X]

Model health certificate for placing on the market of raw materials for the production of gelatine and collagen intended for human consumption (Regulation 2019/628) - Valid until November 1, 2022

Please note facilities exporting on this certificate must be listed on the United Kingdom's List of establishments in non-EU countries approved to export animal products to GB website in the following section (under “Food”): Section XIV/XVbis : Raw materials for the production of gelatine and collagen.

In May 2019, the EU clarified that facilities shipping materials processed in any way (other than cutting or cooling), should be sent on the “MODEL OFFICIAL CERTIFICATE FOR THE ENTRY INTO THE UNION FOR PLACING ON THE MARKET OF TREATED RAW MATERIALS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF GELATINE AND COLLAGEN INTENDED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION” (TCG) rather than this “MODEL OFFICIAL CERTIFICATE FOR THE ENTRY INTO THE UNION FOR PLACING ON THE MARKET OF RAW MATERIALS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF GELATINE AND COLLAGEN INTENDED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION” (RCG). The United Kingdom has not provided any contradictory guidance; APHIS recommends that exporters have their importers confirm with the relevant Border Control Post (BCP) that the appropriate certificate is selected for the specific consignment.
