Animal Products to India
In order for many animal origin products to be imported into India, the Indian importer must obtain an import permit from the Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying, and Fisheries (DADF), Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. The DADF issued import permit will generally state import requirements. Exporters should have their importers in India confirm prior to shipment that the shipment and documentation meet all of India’s requirements for entry.
