The Israel Model Veterinary Certificates to Accompany Fish and Gametes or the certificate for ornamental fish must be issued by an APHIS-accredited veterinarian and endorsed by the APHIS Veterinary Services Area Office.

A voluntary monitoring at the exporting establishment must be active for at least two years, with at least one sampling/year performed by an APHIS-accredited veterinarian, using an assumed pathogen prevalence of 5% for determining the numbers of fish to sample.  Samples must be tested in a laboratory using assays that have been approved by APHIS for the aquatic pathogens (if applicable to the species involved) that are listed in the Model certificates.

Poultry Genetics

For species not listed, the requirements are not known. However, exporters wanting to ship livestock whose requirements are not listed in the IREGS, should have the interested party (importer/buyer) in the country of destination apply for an Import Permit at the appropriate ministry. This Import Permit will most likely outline the specific requirements
