USDA-accredited veterinarians can submit health certificates for electronic signature through VEHCS (Veterinary Export Health Certification System).

APHIS encourages all USDA Accredited Veterinarians to begin issuing the new published certificates for Great Britain right away.

Retiring certificates are being removed starting on April 15, 2024. Please use the new certificates that are available.  If a new certificate it’s not yet available, please continue using the 2022 or 2023 versions no later than April 30, 2024, or until the new one is loaded.

*The United Kingdom includes Great Britain (England, Scotland, Wales) and Northern Ireland; however, Northern Ireland continues to follow EU regulations (including health certificates) post-Brexit. Therefore, this page refers specifically to Great Britain. Refer to the EU IRegs for shipments to Northern Ireland.

Pets

Visit the APHIS Pet Travel Website for information about exporting your pets.

If your species is not listed, the requirements for that species are not known. Exporters who want to ship livestock or germplasm whose requirements are not listed above should have the importer or buyer in the destination country apply for an import permit at the appropriate ministry. This import permit will most likely outline the specific requirements.
