Details: Health certificates require original ink signatures from the issuing USDA Accredited Veterinarian and the endorsing APHIS Veterinary Medical Officer with the application of the APHIS embossed seal. Submissions through the online Veterinary Export Health Certification System (VEHCS) cannot be accepted at this time.
Panama - Summary of Requirements for Live Animals
The following is required for the export of animals to Panama: a) an import permit prior to the shipment of the animals; b) the amount of animals to be exported has to coincide with the number of animals indicated in the import permit; c) additional animals will not be allowed into the country; and d) the importer must secure available space at the quarantine station prior to importing the animals.
Note: The day-old chicks/hatching eggs certified on this exportation do not originate from counties currently affected with avian influenza of high or low pathogenicity virus in poultry/Los pollitos recien nacido/huevos fertiles amparados en

For species not listed, the requirements are not known. However, exporters wanting to ship livestock whose requirements are not listed above, should have the interested party (importer/buyer) in the country of destination apply for an Import Permit at the appropriate ministry. This Import Permit will most likely outline the specific requirements.
