Due to positive feedback and requests to hold additional public meetings, APHIS has scheduled two more meetings to discuss the Animal Disease Traceability (ADT) system this summer. APHIS is working with local State Animal Health Officials to host these meetings, which focus on traceability in the cattle and bison sectors. APHIS and State Officials will provide an update on what has been accomplished so far and any traceability gaps or shortfalls. The purpose of the meetings is to hear from the industry on their ADT experiences and on their views to move beyond the basic traceability framework.
The public meetings will be held on July 18 and 20, 2017, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (local time) in the following locations:
