We determine creditable service for retirement, provide retirement calculations, and individual counseling to employees. We also assist beneficiaries with filing retirement and insurance claims when an employee dies. In addition, we provide retirement and benefits webinar and VTC sessions for agency employee meetings.
Affordable Care Act Individual Shared Responsibility Provision
Beginning January 1, 2014 the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Individual Shared Responsibility provision requires the federal government, state government, insurers, employers, and individuals to share responsibility to reform and improve the availability, quality, and affordability of health insurance coverage in the United States. Health Insurance Marketplace Coverage Options
The Health Insurance Marketplace is a new way to buy health insurance. The Marketplace can help you evaluate your coverage options, including your eligibility for coverage through the Market place and its cost.
The Marketplace is for individuals and families who may not be eligible to enroll in their employer sponsored plans or who may be eligible to enroll but who are evaluating coverage based on affordability issues and concerns. The Supreme Court decided as of June 26, 2013, that Section 3 of the Defense of Marriage Act of 1996 was unconstitutional.
