Indonesia - Summary of Requirements

Import licenses are required for all animals entering Indonesia.

The permit should be obtained from:
Director General of Livestock and Animal Health Services cq Director of Animal Health, Ministry of Agriculture,
Building C, 9th floor, Jl. Harsono RM no. 3, Pasar Minggu,
Jakarta 12550 Indonesia

SPECIES - MOST RECENT UPDATE

Pets

  • Dogs/cats - Health requirements - February 2012 (pdf 580kb)
  • Primates - must be accompanied by a health certificate stating that they are free of disease and have not been in a yellow fever infected area for at least 5 days prior to shipment.

Cattle

Bovidae (includes bovidae intended for exhibit/zoo, bison, buffalo, and cervids)

Note: In addition to the listed options, Ceftiofur crystalline free acid sterile suspension may be used for the treatment of leptospirosis

Camelidae

For species not listed, the requirements are not known. However, exporters wanting to ship livestock whose requirements are not listed in the IREGS, should have the interested party (importer/buyer) in the country of destination apply for an Import Permit at the appropriate ministry. This Import Permit will most likely outline the specific requirements.
