If you have any questions or concerns regarding the procedures and requirements for exporting animals, animal products, or to obtain a zoosanitary certificate for an animal product, you should contact the VS Field Office covering the area from where the product will be exported (or the area in which your office is located).
Kuwait - Summary of Requirements
SPECIES - MOST RECENT UPDATE
ALERT: Kuwait has barred the US export of horses and cattle from Texas, effective July 26, 2014, due to the US outbreak of vesicular stomatitis. We should assume that horses and cattle from Colorado also will not be accepted by Kuwait.
Note: Only stallions need EVA testing. All horses must be identified by a microchip and the microchip number should be written on the veterinary health certificate.
The following requirements are those listed in the ASPCA booklet entitled "Traveling With Your Pet".
Certificates of health and rabies vaccination obtained between 30 days and 1 year before the time of arrival are required. The veterinary health certificate should be dated within 1 month before arrival into Kuwait.
For species not listed, the requirements are not known. However, exporters wanting to ship livestock whose requirements are not listed in the IREGS, should have the interested party (importer/buyer) in the country of destination apply for an Import Permit at the appropriate ministry. This Import Permit will most likely outline the specific requirements.
