Belgium - Summary of Requirements for Animals

Belgium is a Member State of the European Union. Belgium accepts English-only health certificates. If the certificate for a species or commodity is not listed below, please refer to the link to the European Union.

Pets

NOTE:

For animals older than 16 weeks of age, 21 days must elapse from the date of the primary rabies vaccination before a pet is eligible to travel to the EU. A rabies vaccine is considered primary if either:

(1) the animal was vaccinated for the first time.
(2) the animal was vaccinated for the first time after a microchip was implanted, or
(3) vaccination was not carried out within the period of validity of a previous vaccination
